For the past couple of week’s or so, I’ve really mixed things up in the hair department and instead of my standard go-to pomade, i’ve opted for something a little bit different. Jack Black’s Texture Cream was a product i’d heard very little about until about a fortnight ago, but having used it religiously since, it’s safe to say that it will be one that’s sticking around in my wash bag.

A sleek-finish men’s hair product, Jack Black promise this cream to be versatile, lightweight and flexible and I have to completely agree. I’ve tried so many hair creams in the past that promise these magic words, but more often than not fail to delivery. Jack Black’s Texture Cream on the other hand doesn’t feel greasy or stiff both during and after styling. I particularly love how this cream gives my hair a natural and controlled look, without looking as though I’ve slapped on half a tube of some mediocre holding gel.

I’ve also been pleasantly surprised at how fresh and controlled my hair has remained throughout my busy days. There’s nothing worse for me than being on the tube home and catching a reflection of my hair looking like it’s been dragged through a hedge backwards and Jack Black have comfortably side-stepped this issue with complete class.

There’s a couple of things that I really like about this product, attributes that are present across the entire Jack Black range. Firstly, all of their products are cruelty-free, which is massively important in this day in age - especially as the men’s hair care market is being flooded by cheap and nasty Chinese imports. The second is the style and branding of all of Jack Black’s products. Not only do they look outstanding but feel really good quality too and this Texture Cream typifies everything that is great about the range.

Ingredients wise, it’s clear to see that Jack Black haven’t spared any punches. This Texture Cream is packed with Amino Acids which supposedly smooth and soften the hair - which I’d completely vouch for, whilst Jojoba Oil hydrates the hair and reduces frizz. I also noticed that this cream contains beet root, which thickens and adds a natural shine to the hair, two features I’ve grown to enjoy myself since slipping it into my morning regime.

Overall, i’m so happy with this product and feel that it’s an absolute essential for men like me with medium to long hair. If you’ve got waves or curls, this product will style your hair extremely well. There’s no waxy build up either and i’ve applied this to both damp and post blow dried hair with exactly the same great results. From its light to moderate hold and flake-free finish, Jack Black Texture Cream ticks all the boxes on the way to great looking hair. I also like that it doesn’t leave my hands feeling oily or greasy during or after application. Your hair certainly won’t become sticky or hard as a rock and the smell of this cream is to die for.
